Welcome!
I hail from the great state of Louisiana and currently reside in Ohio. I know what you’re thinking how did someone from Louisiana get to Ohio…well, it’s even odder because I made it here by way of Florida. I am often asked if I will stay in Ohio and the short answer is until somewhere else aligns and the long answer is likely not forever.
I come from a long line of cooks, nearly everyone in my family is a cook and has a handful of dishes they’ve perfected over the years. Growing up my mom’s fried chicken and biscuits were my favorite Sunday meal, to this day I love my dad’s fish gravy and can never quite replicate it, my Ma made delicious Cajun meals – truly anything smothered, in a gravy, or fried to perfection – and slightly iconically the best Asian salad I have ever had, my grandmother introduced me to chocolate sauce on toast and coffee milk, my uncle fries chicken and green beans like it’s a prayer, my brother-in-law will boil you the best batch of crawfish you’ve ever had, my brother makes beef jerky from scratch, and I could go on and on.
My first language was food and I love to share a meal and talk about food. I am also happy to stay for dessert and coffee.
Let’s dig in.
